Interlibrary Loan Services: Requesting Renewals

Guide to borrowing materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan.

Requesting Renewals

Step 1. Go to the Tipasa login page (https://184.account.worldcat.org/account) and log in using your UC Law SF user name and password.

Step 2.  Find the item you want to renew on your list of Requests.

Step 3.  If the item is renewable, a renew button will appear on the request.  Click the button to send the renewal request to the lending library.  The lending library will determine whether they will grant or deny the renewal.

Step 4. If there is no renew button, or, if the item is already overdue, please contact us via email and let us know which item you want to renew.

Step 5. Renewals are determined by the lending library.  If the lending library grants the renewal, you will receive an email confirmation with the new due date.  If they deny the renewal, you will also receive an email asking you to return the item to the Law SF Library.

Step 6.  If you want to submit a new request for an item you need to return, click on the Request Again button to copy your original request.  Enter or edit any information on the request form and click Submit Request.
