Find Online Articles with the Hastings Library Catalog

  • Search the Library Catalog to find and download full-text journal articles.
    • Use Advanced Search to find articles on your topic
    • Then refine your search results with the filters in the left column
    • For example to find recent articles on sinking islands and climate refugees try a search such as:

(Any field contains drowning OR sinking) AND (Any field contains Islands) AND (Any field contains climate refugees)

Find Online Articles using WorldCat

  • Search WorldCat to locate articles on your topic.
  • Use Advanced Search to search by keyword, title, or author.
  • Select "Article" in the left column to limit search results.
  • Click on the article title
  • Click the blue "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" to get a PDF sent to your email.

Online Subscriptions for Articles on International Environmental Law

Online Subscription Databases:

The Hastings Law Library subscribes to a number of online resources featuring scholarly articles. 

You can access all of the subscription databases on campus.  If you are not on campus, after you click the database link you will be directed to this sign-in page. To use the database off-campus, either enter your Hastings email username and password or enter your name (as shown on your Hastings ID) and your ID barcode number.

Search the library's e-journals list to determine if Hastings has online access to a journal.  (Note: Search this resource by journal title instead of article title.) 

Journal articles can be one of the best places to find current research on your topic.  Find law reviews and other scholarly journal articles on HeinOnline, Proquest, Westlaw, Lexis, Legal Scholarship Network, and the other databases described below:
